This is the replacement cartridge for the H300-HSD Drinking Water System.  HSD stands for high silt density - this is a fancy way of saying 'a lot of dirt'. 

If you are finding that you get short life from our traditional H300 cartridge, this HSD cartridge will give you longer life without compromising on quality.

This water filter reduces the following contaminants:

• Lead
• Asbestos fibers
• Parasitic cysts such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium
• Chlorine taste and odor
• Dirt and cloudiness
• Mold and algae
• Oxidized iron, manganese and sulfides
• Particles down to 1/50,000th of an inch

How often should I change the filter?:

We recommend changing this filter when the flow rate becomes inconveniently slow. Our water quality is changing all the time.  Even if you have your water tested, that is just a snapshot on that particular day, so don't be surprised if the frequency of cartridge change fluctuates from one year to the next; this is normal.

Filter life depends on three factors, and these three are unique to you:

1. How often you use the filter
2. How dirty your water is
3. What kind of water pressure you have

All Everpure residential systems and cartridges include a Time strip filter monitor to remind you when 11 months have passed. This is based on the recommendations by Everpure to change the filter on an annual basis.  Remember to buy only genuine Everpure replacement cartridges to maintain your warranty. NSF Certification:

This drinking water system is third party tested and certified by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) for Std. 42 & 53. Please refer to the system spec sheet for a detailed listing of NSF certifications. Standard 53 is the most important as it certifies for the removal of parasitic cysts, such as Cryptosporidium, and Lead.  Read more about NSF.
