Is The Everpure H300 Filter System Right For You Home?

The Everpure H300 filter is definitely our best selling home water filtration system. These filters are popular for a reason and they are a great option for anyone looking to add a convenient source of filtered water to their kitchen. Just like any water filtration system, there are a few elements to consider to ensure that the H300 is the perfect fit for your kitchen.

Like all Everpure water filtration systems, the H300 is designed to be easy for any homeowner to install. A lot of our customers worry about having to hire a plumber to install their new filtration system. Luckily, the entire installation process can be completely using only a few simple hand tools.

All you have to do is screw the filter head to the inside of your cabinet at the appropriate height, add a small adapter to your cold water intake, and then cut a few hoses to connect the two. Once the filter cartridge is screwed into place, all you have to do is attach the water output to our water dispenser. If this process seems like too much work, you can hire a handyman to get the job done in no time.

In order to dispense water, the Everpure H300 filter requires you to install a small dedicated faucet. You can install one of these drinking water faucets in your countertop or on a flat metal area of your sink. This can be one of the most difficult aspects of installing the H300 in your kitchen. If you are lucky enough to be considering installing a filter during a kitchen remodel, it is easy to plan to add a hole in your countertop or purchase a sink that has an accessory hole preinstalled.

If adding a new fixture to your kitchen is just not an option for you, you might need to consider a different filtration system for your home. We offer several Everpure systems that do not require a dedicated faucet. You will find these systems in the “Full Flow Systems & Cartridges” section of our Drinking Water menu. Instead of using a dedicated faucet, these systems use the cold water wide of your existing faucet to deliver your filtered water. Systems like the new EF Series (EF1500, EF3000 and EF6000) are great full flow alternatives to the H300.

No matter what system you are using, once the filter head and the dispenser are installed, all you have to do is insert a filter cartridge. Everpure’s cartridges are the source of their amazing filtration power. The H300 filter features a unique internal media design where Everpure’s proprietary Micro-Pure media is arranged in a pleated ring in order to maximize the surface area while allowing water to flow through the cartridge easily.

The biggest variable when considering a filter cartridge is it’s lifespan. The lifespan of an Everpure filter cartridge is determined by how many gallons of water it can handle. The H300 filter cartridge can process 300 gallons of water before it will need to be replaced. These cartridges need to be replaced annually and every Everpure cartridge comes with an indicator sticker that will turn from white to solid red over the course of the year.

Depending on how much water your household consumes, you notice the fact that the flow from your H300 cartridge may begin to slow down before a full year has passed. If this is the case, all you have to do is flip the shut off valve on your Everpure H300 filter head, remove the spent water filter cartridge, and insert your replacement filter cartridge in its place. Every time you install a new cartridge, be sure to run the system for a few minutes to purge any air from the lines.

Some homeowners may wonder what will happen if they consume a larger than expected amount of filtered water and end up using more cartridges? Luckily, most Everpure replacement cartridges are interchangeable, giving Everpure users a wide range of options. The Everpure H300 is one of our lowest capacity systems at 300 gallons per cartridge. You can easily upgrade to an alternative cartridge that will filter thousands of gallons of water when you are shopping for replacement cartridges.

So if you are looking for a dependable water filtration system, it’s hard to go wrong with the Everpure H300 filter system. Not only are these filters easy to install and use, but they can also be upgraded to suit your needs if you need a larger cartridge capacity. If you still have questions about the H300 or any of our other Everpure products, our team of filtration specialists is always happy to help.
